CRIBoard Website Terms of Use
The short version:
- The CRIBoard website is a free scoreboard for two-player cribbage. Use it for fun, and use it fairly.
- Nothing on the website costs money. The paid extras are in the CRIBoard app, under the app's own terms.
- Your game is saved only in your browser, and clearing your browser's data deletes it.
- The website is provided as is. Keep track of anything that matters, like wagers, yourself.
Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Essare LLC ("we", "us") about your use of the CRIBoard website at criboard.com (the "Site").
By using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Website Privacy Policy.
If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
Using the Site
You may use the Site for free to keep score for your own games.
You agree not to:
- Copy, change, or redistribute the Site or its code, except as the law allows.
- Interfere with the Site, or try to overload or break it.
- Use the Site in a way that breaks the law.
The CRIBoard app
The CRIBoard app for iPhone and iPad is separate from the Site.
Its paid extras, and your use of the app, are covered by the CRIBoard App Terms of Use and Apple's terms, not by these Terms.
Your game data
The Site saves your game in your browser, not with us.
Clearing your browser's data, using private browsing, or switching browsers or devices can lose it.
We can't recover a lost game.
Ownership
The Site, its design, artwork, logo, and the CRIBoard name belong to us or our licensors.
The Fredoka typeface is used under the SIL Open Font License.
The rules of cribbage belong to everyone.
Apple and the Apple logo are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. App Store is a service mark of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries.
Scores and wagers
CRIBoard keeps score for you, but it can't check that the points entered are right.
Don't rely on the Site alone to settle anything that matters, such as a wager or a tournament result.
Links to other sites
The Site links to sites we don't control, such as Apple's App Store.
We are not responsible for those sites, and your use of them is covered by their own terms.
Disclaimer
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We don't promise that the Site will always be available, free of errors, or keep your game data.
Some places don't allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of the Site.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Changes to the Site and these Terms
We may change or stop offering the Site at any time.
If we change these Terms, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
If you keep using the Site after a change, you accept the new Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
